Smalls Sliders
Community-Focused: FCS Sports Performance Named Smalls Town Hero
More than just serving sliders, Smalls Sliders is also bringing heart to its local partnerships. Tomball Can owner Thad Montgomery selected FCS Sports Performance as the location’s inaugural “Smalls Town Hero,” a community initiative that honors organizations making a positive local impact.
FCS, based in nearby Spring, Texas, is a faith-based athletic training center founded by former professional baseball players Clayton Crum and Eric Fisher. Known for its commitment to developing young athletes both physically and spiritually, FCS has helped more than 50 students advance to NCAA athletics and continues to expand its reach through the FCS Family Foundation.
Their focus on leadership, faith, and mentorship made them a standout choice for recognition. The honor underscores Smalls Sliders' mission to embed itself into the fabric of the communities it serves, not just through food, but also through meaningful engagement.
John Trejo
Houston Pro Performance
Coach John Trejo has been training athletes for 15 years. He earned a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Bachelors in Athletic Training. Last year John had two athletes drafted in the first round of the MLB draft and 17 collegiate athlete signings. Throughout his career he has trained over 75 professional athletes, and 8 first round draft picks. John is exceptionally adept in human performance, biomechanics, rehabilitation, and physiology. John’s scientific approach to training and programming has brought his athletes great success and improvements.
This is a strategical move that will help us take things to the next level down the road as we expand into a bigger facility. John has very similar values to us, and will be a big part of the future of FCS. We will continue to have a collaborative approach to offer the best resources possible to our athletes. We have had the pleasure of working together with John training big leaguers such as Kody Clemens, Tristan Gray, and Conner Capel.
